Full Circle

Every once in a while, we pause to reflect on our lives. When I trace back the particularly for the people who have shaped me in different ways – one of them being my grandfather, my aaba. Full Circle, has been 55 years in the making. Full Circle honors my grandfather, a photographer who had the earliest influence on me to pick up a camera. Starting in 1960, he spent much of his career documenting different parts of Silvassa.

What began as a project to recreate the images with the same camera he used, the Rolliecord 1932 (thus the name Full Circle), turned into a reflection of Silvassa’s changing identity and a comparison of the significance of its various locations today.
